Crawford County in the heart of one of the unique unglaciated areas of
Wisconsin. Just a stone’s throw away, the Kickapoo River meanders
through the village. This area is a great place for hiking, biking,
canoeing, fishing, bird-watching, antiquing, shopping, and much more.

Atley Peterson Suite:
Named after the owner and builder of this
residence in 1896. This room is enriched by the birds-eye maple woodwork
most likely crafted at his lumber mill, which was located on the nearby
Kickapoo River.

Amenities: This large suite
has a queen-size sleigh bed, antique fireplace, and sitting area.
The luxurious attached private-bath creates your own private oasis
for relaxation and serenity. The fully-customized Bain air-jet tub
promises a new bathing experience by providing option for
hydro-thermo massage, aromatherapy, and much more. There is also a
four-foot walk-in shower and a custom designed vanity. Plush terry
robes are provided.

Agnes Moorehead Suite:
Named after the Broadway star and actress Agnes
Moorehead who lived in Soldiers Grove from 1923-1927 and stayed at this
residence when it was a rooming house. She taught English and Drama at
the local high school. Today, most people remember her for her role as
Endora in the TV series, Bewitched, however, Agnes was more famous in
earlier years for her work on Broadway, radio , vaudeville, and theater.

corner fireplace, 4 poster queen-size bed, sitting area, Antique
Murphy bed (for one additional guest), and private bathroom with
shower. This spacious suite has lots of windows overlooking the side
yard and the Kickapoo River Bridge.

(Monday through Thursday) plus tax (2 people).
Holly’s Room:
Located on the second floor in the front of the
house, this small, cozy room has a sitting area in the turret – a great
place to relax with a good book in the over-stuffed arm chair
overlooking the front and side yard as well as the Kickapoo River
Bridge.

double-bed. Lots of windows letting in the sunshine to brighten any
day. Plush terry robes are provided

Agnes Moorehead Suite.

and Holly’s Room) $199 (weekends); $189 (Monday through Thursday)
plus tax (up to 4 people).
Vernon’s Room:
Located at the back of the second floor, this
room is named after the owner’s father who was a school teacher in a
one-room school house. This room has a queen size bed and private bath
with claw-foot tub and shower. Go back in time in the hide-away study
complete with an antique writing desk and typewriter, reading glasses,
school books just like a school master.

private bath, antique colored glass windows to enjoy the days first
light. Plush terry robes provided.

Betty’s Room:
Located in the back of the second floor, this
cozy room decorated in vibrant Victorian colors was originally the
maid’s quarters. You can still see the opening where the maid or nanny
listened for the soft cries from the nursery across the hall.

cozy love-seat, reading table, private attached bath with 4 foot
walk-in shower and restored colored glass window, plush terry robes.

The Roth’s are looking forward to providing
old-fashioned hospitality to all of their guests in this historic home.
The Roth House B&B has individually designed sleeping rooms (with
private baths), a dining room, parlor, sitting room, grand staircase,
wrap-around front porch, and a turn-of-the-century kitchen and pantry.
Each morning, house guests will be greeted with a full country breakfast
consisting of entrees prepared from the freshest, locally grown foods
and accompanied by home-made pastries and distinctive signature dishes.
In addition to being a peaceful retreat for all its guests, the Roth
House can provide a magnificent setting
for parties, special celebrations, and business meetings.
